I bought this book to take on the challenge and see if one could in fact at the age of 50 get to the outcome inspired by the title My conclusion was that I couldn t although I did succeed in getting to a maximum of 32 pull ups and could easily do 100 in less than 7 minutes by the end of my efforts over the 7 weeks The way that the book is set out is repetitive but foundational and the approach I believe is structured correctly for results Though getting to the actual magic number might be beyond many there is no doubt that mastering pull ups with all grips doing them aggressively within a hyperthrophy routine and regulatly will get results in terms of back development and general fitness particularly as you add hanging weight and focus on powerless reps Easy to follow too so for those with the ambition well worth the expense
